Meet the Maker

I was a woman on a mission. A mission to be able to offer clinician quality gear in my local area. I never thought it would grow into what it has become today.

I started just about 6 years ago now with mohair cinches. I had always ridden in mohair cinches and knew the benefits and their value as a piece of equipment for your horse, but I wanted a pretty one! After searching I realized that I wasn't able to find what I was looking for local to me. I decided to build my own cinch and see how that went. I thought myself to tie them and built one and then pulled it apart and built five more and did the same thing. It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I don't generally shy away from difficulty so I persevered. I made cinches, used them, took them apart, I gave several to close family and had them test them and give me feedback. Finally, I was satisfied with the results and offered my mohair cinches for sale. The market for mohair cinches in rural Nova Scotia was not huge and I didn't make my first sale for over a year, but slowly they began to catch on as several local trainers purchased my cinches. I have now lost count of how many I've sold in my local area, but I've also shipped my cinches all over Canada and the US.

In December of 2020 I added rope halters and yacht rope leads to the business. Again, this all started because I wasn't able to find the specific product and quality that I was looking for for my own personal use. So, I taught myself how to tie and how to splice rope. The rope halters and leads have been very popular. I am proud to say that I ship my halters all over the world (that still blows my mind)!! I have halters in countries as far away as Australia, Europe and all though out the US and Canada.

I am insanely passionate about providing exceptional quality gear at a price everyone can afford. I work out of my home to help keep my overhead low. I also homeschool my kids so, it keeps me here at home with them as they grow up. I love that I can show them the value of hard work and dedication to something that you're passionate about each and every day.
